I've downloaded an eBook- how do I read it on my computer?
Answer
Some of eBook vendors allow you to download an entire eBook as a PDF, but most eBooks require the free software Adobe Digital Editions.
Note: We also recommend reading the book in your browser instead of downloading the entire book.
To download Adobe Digital Editions:
Please go to this URL: http://www.adobe.com/solutions/ebook/digital-editions/download.html
Locate your preferred platform and click on it to download the installer. Then run the installer on your machine to install Adobe Digital Editions.
Opening eBooks:
When you download a book from your library's website, simply open the book from the browser download window, and Adobe Digital Editions (ADE) will launch. If ADE doesn’t launch automatically, start it manually, and then drag your book onto the application icon. Or, choose File > Add to Library to browse for the file on your computer.
