How do I install Save to RefWorks?

Need to export citation information from a website (like a newspaper, blog, etc?)

RefWorks has an easy-to-use tool that installs in your web browser called Save to RefWorks.

The Save to RefWorks bookmarklet can grab citation information from any web page – in some cases a complete article – and add it to your RefWorks library. 

Note: Save to RefWorks works best in Chrome or Firefox. 

To install, follow these instructions:

  1. Before you start, make sure your bookmark bar is visible in your web browserNot sure how to make your bookmark bar visible?

 

  1. Log in to your RefWorks account and click on the Tools button in the top toolbar. Then select Tools from the drop-down options.

2. On the next page, click the blue Install Save to RefWorks button.

3. Drag and drop the Save to RefWorks button to your bookmarks bar.

4. Quit your browser and re-open to ensure the install is complete. Then, you're done!
