How can I search in multiple databases simultaneously?

Answer

Although you cannot search in all of the databases available at the CIIS Library at the same time, you can search some databases simultaneously.

Databases are hosted by larger companies. The two largest companies are EBSCO and ProQuest which host many (but not all) of our databases. You can search all EBSCO or all ProQuest databases at the same time.

To do so:

1. Go to the Databases page from the Library website.

2. Use the drop-down menu All Vendors/Providers

3. Choose either EBSCO or ProQuest

4. Then, scroll down to for Ebsco, or for Proquest. Select the link which indicates it is All subscribed ___ databases.

5. From this link you can begin your search. You can also view which databases you are searching, and choose databases to further refine which databases you are searching within that platform at once.
