How do I get citation information from the Library catalog, databases, or Google Scholar?

Answer

Databases often have a "Cite" button somewhere on the page after you click into the article. You can use this feature to copy/paste your citation, or to export it to a Citation Manager like RefWorks. 

Note: PepWeb does not have the export feature, but citations can be found at the bottom of the article to copy and paste. Be sure to verify that the citation is in the correct style before submitting your paper. 

In the Library Catalog:

Select the "Cite" button in the record. 

 

In Google Scholar:

Select the " button. You can also go into the Google Scholar settings to add a RefWorks option. See this FAQ for more information. 

 

In EBSCO databases:

image from an EBSCO databases. To the right of the screen are many tools. One is entitled export. When this tool is clicked a box opens up with a default to send a citation through direct export to refworks.

 

In ProQuest Databases:
