I've found an article online but can't connect to CIIS with an institutional login

Answer

Ever come across an article and tried using a button that said something like "logging in with your institutional access?"

This is a service that is more commonly used in very large universities. The CIIS Library does not have an institutional access login on websites on the open web.

Instead:

  • Copy and paste the title of the article in the Library Catalog to see if we have access.
  • Search for the journal title on our Journals List page to see if we subscribe and what coverage (years) we have access to.
  • Go to our A-Z Databases page to see if we subscribe to a specific database from a vendor (ie: EBSCO, ProQuest, Wiley, etc.)

Note: The Library Catalog, Journals List, and Databases are all tabs on the Library website menu.

If the CIIS Library does not have access to the article, please use our interlibrary loan service to request a copy.
