I am having trouble logging in. Help!

Answer

This FAQ relates to glitches when trying to log in. For general information on how to log in, see this FAQ:

How do I log in to my Libary Account?

If you are trying to get to digital resources from off-campus, there will be a prompt for you to enter your CIIS email address and password.

If this does not work:

  • Try logging in from a private/incognito window.
  • Clear your browser's cache/cookies: https://www.pcmag.com/article/333441/how-to-clear-your-cache-on-any-browser, close and restart the browser.
  • Check to see if your browser is up to date. When the browser is not up to date, it can cause compatibility issues.
  • Try a different browser. If you are using Chrome, try Firefox and vice versa. These are our recommended browsers for library resources. If you are on a Mac, please use the Firefox browser.
  • Are you on a leave of absence? Per the LOA policy/form, students on leave will not have access to library resources.
  • Are you alumni? Alumni lose access to library resources after graduation. See this guide for more information.
  • Do you have another Microsoft Outlook account?
    • If you have more than one role at CIIS including Student, please log in with your mymail account.
    • If you have another Outlook email (ie: for your work), please log out of that account and log back in with your CIIS email.

Does the above not apply? Please see the FAQ link below for information on maximum fines blocking access to library resources.

If are still having problems, please email syslib@ciis.edu
