Why isn't "Save to RefWorks" or RefWorks Citation Manager (RCM) working on Word Online or Google Docs?
Answer
Have you tried using Save to Refworks to save website citation information, or tried using RefWorks Citation Manager (RCM) while writing a paper in Microsoft Word Online or Google Docs and run into a gray screen that doesn't allow you to login or access your citations?
This issue can be resolved by accepting all "third-party cookies" in your browser. You can change these in your browser's settings and it is usually found under the privacy and security section.
If you do not want to accept all third-party cookies you can try the following:
- Download the Microsoft Word app onto your computer and use RefWorks Citation Manager there.
- Temporarily change your cookies preference right before and right after using Save to RefWorks or RefWorks Citation Manager.
- Use a different browser that you don't normally use and allow all third-party cookies there.
